Congratulations to Scrapcap.....
Who won a massive $5000 USD at the De La Vega Global Enterprise Awards on Tuesday 5th April. Our very own learner- led business that repurposed school uniforms into caps did not win the overall prize, but still won $5000 USD for their superb business, we are so proud of them for getting this far, such a massive achievement! After winning Company of the Year Singapore (2020), Company of the Year Asia Pacific (2021), Hugo, Maya, Taiga and Xavier did a fantastic job, check out the 5 other teams here . Watch the 4 minute video to learn more about their extraordinary journey.
Now the JA competitIons are over, they are considering moving the business forward, after they finish their IB exams. Fingers crossed we will see more Scrapcaps in the near future!!.

Some of you may remember and have contributed to the pad drive we recently ran. This was orchestrated by Seoyeon Ji in Year 11. Seoyeon took action and advocated for the go with the flow group after learning about period poverty and inequality in menstrual hygiene through her Global Perspectives lessons.
By taking action and advocating for the group, Seoyeon was able to put together several boxes of care packs that the go with the flow group have distributed to low-income families. I am pleased to share the recommendation the group gave Seoyeon here.
Thank you to all of you who supported her. It is a real privilege to work with young people and support them to make things happen and we look forward to more learners bringing things forward.
At Nexus, anything is possible!
