NPG

Our Facebook NPG group is a place for all our parents (and other members that are close friends of Nexus) to interact and create a closer community. Please feel free to post questions, reminders or any related comments. Please do refrain from lodging sales posts, we do have the second-hand buy-and-sell group for these posts or advertising your business. Please feel free to also email us at any time: npg@nexus.edu.sg

Final NPG Coffee Morning Workshop of the calendar year:

Tuesday, 4 December: Cultivating the Love of Writing in Children

Claudine Fernandez is the founder of Artistic Strategies Academy, an educational organisation that aims to groom young writers in Singapore through the arts. She will be discussing the different creative and artistic methods and strategies to engage young children in the process of writing. In doing so, they also sharpen their critical thinking skills, their creativity, socio-emotional skills and their reflective abilities. See you there.

About the NPG:

One of our School’s unique pillars is what many parents and staff describe as a special community spirit.

The NPG serves two purposes within this community - to provide parents with a platform through which to start conversations with, and provide feedback, to the School – to be “a voice of the School community”, and to provide a range of great social, cultural and special interest events. We welcome all volunteers to join our vibrant and diverse committee, with the main aim of maintaining an inclusive NPG where all ideas are considered valuable.

All parents and helpers are welcome in the NPG Lounge at any time. We love seeing you and finding out how your week is going. Please respect the space and ask your child to keep volumes down and tidy up the toys that they use before leaving.

Warmest wishes,

Simon Hyett
