We’re back! We trialled our new Covid procedures for visiting schools on Thursday afternoon with some 16&U Girls Volleyball matches. There was excellent 4v4 Volleyball played by our Nexus girls and our super friendly visitors from St Joseph’s International. So much fun! We look forward to exploring friendlies for some of our other teams in the coming weeks.

Congratulations to Jack (Year 12) who travelled all the way to Ireland to participate at his home Olympic Qualifier event. Jack is having an amazing season taking his swimming to the next level. He started excelling in one of the most demanding events in swimming, the 400m Individual Medley. Jack flew to Ireland with the purpose to qualify for the European Junior Swimming Championships this Summer. This is the life of a competitive swimmer. Massive jet lag put his performance slightly off and did not help him to achieve the minimum standard time to make the squad for the European Junior Swimming Championships. However, Jack swam his personal best in the 200 Individual Medley with a 0.60 sec off the qualifying time. Now, Jack serves his two-week quarantine at the Swiss Hotel whilst he continues exercising in his hotel room covering three hours of stationary cycling and body weight excises each day.
