Dear Parents and Guardians
It has been another busy week in the Primary School. Do take time to read the 'News from the Year Groups' section to see what has been happening in your child's Year Group.
Thanks to our wonderful teaching teams, we have been increasingly able to include educational visits back into our curricular programme. As you can imagine, there is a significant amount of additional logistics, working with government agencies and various venues, to comply with the government safety measures. Trips have included exploration of some National Parks' wildlife habitats; visiting the local neighbourhood; the ArtScience museum and Kampong Lorong Buangkok. Over the coming weeks we will continue to use the wider Singapore environment to enhance your child's learning.
Next week, we have our annual Yearbook Photo Shoot. In the 'Important Notices' section we provide more details. There is a full schedule to ensure we capture all the classes, groups and teams that make up our school community. Please look at it carefully and make sure that on the day your child has their class photo they wear full school uniform. If it is usually a day they have swimming or HPE, please pack their kits separately. Please also remind them to wear their favourite mask too!
Then we reach the final week of Term 3. In that week we will be focusing on everyone's wellbeing. Take a look at the 'Upcoming Events' section for some of the activities happenign across the school.
May I take this opportunity to ask families to check your child's face masks/shields fit securely. We are noticing that a number of learners have masks that do not fit securely. This is particualrly true of the reuseable masks, where the elastic ear straps or the wire nose bridge become loose over time. Thank you.
Finally, I would like to welcome Coach Dhill to our teaching team. Dhill has joined the Health & Physical Education team as a swim coach. Dhill was a member of the Philippine National Swim Team between 2004 and 2014 and has wonder numerous international medals. We are delighted to have him join our community.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Best regards,
Paul Beach
