What a great season we have had for the girl's basketball team. Many had never played before and it was amazing to see the progression and confidences all of the girls demonstrated throughout the course of the season.
A great effort girls, well done!
Mr Allan Bilney - Girls Basketball Coach
Nexus Volleyball goes from strength to strength with the continuation of Saturday morning training sessions. With 30+ players currently on the books the drive and dedication of the players is certainly evident.
The two hour session from 10am-12pm caters for all abilities, working on the essential skills and team systems required to play the game successfully.
Thank you to all learners who have made the commitment to training.

Our Nexus Swim Team was able to continue participating over the last two weeks in the swimming competitions with great success. As our sport is returning to competitions, we were able to see our swimmers taking it to the next level.
Our Senior squad competed at the 'SSA January Swim Series' which were run under very strict safety COVID19 rules. Our swimmers were invited for this meet over the three-round invitation. Those who made the top 32 were able to compete in this meet. There were some outstanding swims by Iona in the 800 Freestyle and Carmen in the 50 backstroke; where she narrowly missed the Spanish national Record. Other Nexus swimmers to hive awesome performances were Michael, Zoe, Paloma, Jack, Lachlan, Yuma, Lachlin, Riccardo, Emil, and Yuki.
Our Junior Squad swimmers competed at the SSPA swim meet held at Tao Payoh Swimming Complex. Qualification for this meet followed similar selection processes. Our juniors came back home from the meet with 100% of their swims being personal bests. Huge credit goes to their super coach, Coach Adrian, who injected a good race-plan into this meet. The highlight of this event was Emma and her 50 Fly swim, Mia and her 100 Breast - Absolutely phenomenal swims! Well done to the following swimmers - Annabel, Stepan, Aidan, Miron, Eric, Grady, and Kaito.
NEXUS TIME TRIALS - SATURDAY, 6 FEBRUARY
This weekend, both squads will be racing in a sanctioned 'time trial' event here at Nexus. This meet will help update their times and plan their racing program for the Singapore Age Group National Championships in March 2021.
