From our Head of Primary

There has been so much going on in the last fortnight. In just 9 days we have packed in drama workshops, Dragon's Den, an advertising fair, Science workshops and seven trips! I am truly astounded by the energy and commitment shown by the staff to make all these wonderful activities happen and enrich the children's learning.

We even had time to celebrate Earth Week and last weekend we hosted the Lower Primary International Schools' Theatre Association (ISTA) Drama Festival - welcoming children from international schools across the country.

Do take a look at the many photos and write-ups under 'Recent Events' to see all that has been taking place.

Under' Important Announcements', we have provided details of how to order your school photos and our expectations for parent/guardian after-school supervision. May I also take a moment to ask you to complete the Parent Satisfaction Survey if you haven't already done so. The survey is open until 10 May and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. The information from the survey informs our strategic planning so we really do appreciate your feedback.

Finally, I have one more brief survey to introduce to you. A team of learners from Year 6 have been exploring the possibilities of a school mascot. Here is a message from them...

We are Declan, Rayan and Armaan and we want to create a new mascot for Nexus. We chose five options we thought people would like and have a connection to the school. We have presented our ideas to assemblies, classes and Nexus staff members. We now want your feedback!

We are Declan, Rayan and Armaan and we are passionate about creating a new mascot for Nexus. We chose five options we thought people would like and that have a connection to the school. We have presented our ideas in assemblies, to classes and all Nexus staff members. We now want your feedback!

There are pictures of the mascots below but keep in mind these are not close representations of the looks of the actual mascots. After a decision on the mascot is taken, we will start the design process of the final image. These five options will be displayed in the form below, so you can vote for your favourite mascot today.

Votes will close on May 8th.
