Understanding MYP Mathematics
MYP Mathematics, like all subjects, has 4 assessment criteria. They can seem confusing and difficult to understand at first, for learners and parents alike.
The criteria and assessment tasks are most probably very different to the tests we all endured at school!
This workshop will take parents through the four assessment criteria to help develop a better understanding of each, so that we may all support our learners more.
There will be tasks to try and some to grade. We will also look at self-assessment and peer-assessment.
There are limited spaces for this event and they will be given to the first 40 pax who RSVP, on a first-come-first-served basis. Register now to find out more!

Parent Volunteer Workshop
Our school relies heavily on the support and involvement of our parent community and we are grateful for the dedication and commitment that many of you have shown to our school thus far. This workshop is part of our parent volunteer program that aims to foster stronger relationships between the school and parents.
In this workshop, our Principal, Lachlan, will provide you with the necessary tools and information to be a safeguarding-informed volunteer at Nexus. We will be discussing various topics such as school policies and procedures, safety guidelines and effective communication with teachers and staff. Moving forward, only parents who have completed this course will be allowed to volunteer in the school.
Additionally, this will be a great opportunity to meet other parents who are also interested in volunteering and share ideas and experiences with one another. We hope that you will find this workshop informative, engaging and helpful as you make meaningful contributions to our school community.
We look forward to seeing you at the workshop!
