On 16th June, a group of Year 12 learners will take part in a Science expedition to South Africa with Operation Wallacea. Accompanied by Lee Wilson (Director of Learning Technologies) and Khalida Wilson (Primary School Classroom Assistant), the group will spend the first week in the Kruger National Park. They will work with renowned scientists to study the impact of elephants on vegetation in the reserve. Week two will be spent at a marine site. All of the group are qualified SCUBA divers and will conduct reef ecology experiments in one of the most diverse marine habitats on the planet. Many of the group will use the data they gather for their IB Extended Essays and all of them will benefit from this exciting opportunity to take direct action to help protect some of the most vulnerable species and habitats in Africa. There will be regular updates on the expedition Instagram feed. This can be viewed even if you don't have an Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/nexusopwall/
