Instrumental Music Lessons

We are delighted to inform you that enrolment for our Instrumental Music Programme 2020/21 is now open for registration. This programme has been designed to help develop your child’s passion and skills in all stages of their musical journey. Additional instrumental lessons can help improve academic achievement, boost social skills when joining an ensemble or band, and build confidence through performance. We invite new learners as well as existing musicians to enrol for this school year.

Visiting instrumental teachers support both curricular and extra-curricular music at the school by helping learners prepare for recitals, examinations, and participating in extra-curricular groups. Each 30-minute individual lesson is charged at $50.

Under the current Covid-19 restrictions, we are able to offer some instrumental lessons on campus; piano, drum kit, violin, viola, cello, guitar and bass guitar. Please read the guidelines here for all other instruments.

Please click the buttons below to understand more or to register your child for the Instrumental Music programme. Should you have any other queries, please contact us at music@nexus.edu.sg.

Welcome back to a new year in Visual Art!

The learners are all very excited to be back in the art studio and getting creative. We have made a fun start to the year with lots of getting to know you arts and crafts activities taking place, as learners adjust to the new health and safety procedures in the art studios.

We are carefully adapting to the restrictions of Covid-19 and ensuring that your children are having fun expressing their inner artist, whilst remaining socially distanced and safe. We look forward to delivering a range of art experiences to all year groups including painting, drawing, collage and ceramic work amongst many.

Primary families, please do remember to pack an old shirt or an apron in your child's school bag. This will be kept in the hom room and worn to art lessons so that we can have fun without worrying about the school uniform! Many thanks to Primary School families for your support in organising your child's pencil case with colouring pencils and pens, this equipment makes the art lesson a lot more enjoyable for your children. Below are a few pictures of our younger learners settling back into their art lessons.

We look forward to an engaging and creative year ahead and to sharing the learners' fantastic artwork with you.
