Please ensure that PL requests are made well in advance of the training date so that payment can be processed in time and cover can be organised.
For overnight trips please apply at least 5 weeks in advance.
Overview - PL Process
1) We encourage staff to apply for PL linked to teaching, personal, department and whole school developmental needs. Decisions for professional development courses are based on the decision tree below to ensure equity and fair opportunity.
3) Your PL will go to your line manager for approval. Ensure you have had a conversation with your line manager about your PL activity and they can approve or make recommendations on BlueSky which you will see on the right-hand side under CPD activity status.
4) The PL requests will be looked at every Tuesday by the exec/CPD team.
5) Your CPD activity status will change from orange to green or red based on the recommendation. There is also a notes section for you to check with any actions you need to take.
6) When approved, please send a PDF download of the BlueSky approval to Cecelia/Errica. (How do I do this?)
7) Once you have completed your course please go back into your BlueSky account and mark your CPD as complete. There is also a reflection section you can complete to look at the impact.

Please send a downloaded pdf copy of your approval and costs to Cecelia and Ericca who will help to book flights and accommodation. This can be found on the right hand side.

Please note that Per Diem is now paid after training events. Claims can be made through Concur, see the guidelines below.
