Description: In honor of our beloved Spanish GED teacher, Jose Mundo, this one-time scholarship is awarded to all The Next Step PCS graduates.
Award: $500
Eligibility:
Completion of GED Program (or Foreign Transcript Evaluation) While Enrolled at The Next Step PCS
What can the funds be used for?
School Tuition
Post-secondary program supplies (Books, Computers, Tablets, or any required supplies as outlined in the class syllabus.)
Description: In honor of our beloved English GED teacher, Ben Friedberg, this one-time scholarship was established by Mr. Friedberg's family in his honor. Today, TNS continues to fund this scholarship in our dedication to post-secondary investment.
Award: $1,000
Eligibility:
Students have obtained their GED diploma or Transcript Validation from The Next Step PCS.

This one-time award was established by our former ESL teacher, Jessica Csoma, to celebrate the accomplishments of the students enrolled in our ESL track.

Description: This one-time award was established and is funded by a family that supports TNS and wants to recognize their highest achievers.

Eligibility:
The Next Step PCS graduate with the highest cumulative GED score from their graduating class.

What expenses are allowed:
Funds MAY be used for application fees, test fees, tuition, enrollment fees, books, or other supplies required to complete an academic or vocational school.
Scholarship funds MAY NOT be used for transportation, food, or other auxiliary expenses.
How long is the process to receive funds/laptop?
Up to 1 month.
What if I wish to purchase an item that is more than the allotted scholarship funds?
You must submit a money order with the difference payable to "The Next Step PCS" with your scholarship purchase request.
Example: Ana is using her Mundo Scholarship ($500) towards a $750 laptop. Ana must submit a $250 money order to cover the difference
How long do I have to use my money?
As of 2018, scholars have three years from the award date to utilize their funds. It is important that you save your award letter and or certificate.
