Be kind and respectful in all of your interactions online, just as you would in person!
Online classes are a professional and educational setting. Please:
Dress appropriately (no pajamas-- unless it is pajama day).
Be engaged and ready to participate (not lounging in bed).
Be mindful of what is shown on your webcam.
Write all of your assignments in academic language (limit the use of emojis, gifs, etc.).
Monitor your conversation level (listen as much as you speak).
Interacting and communicating with your classmates is a large part of this course -- learning happens collaboratively!
You will be expected to respectfully and professionally interact with your peers using the following formats:
Google Classroom discussion boards
Zoom whole-class and breakout room discussions
Google Jamboard
Google Slides

The purpose of collaboration is to help each other out, be exposed to different ideas, and build community! Some examples of collaboration include:
Asking/ answering a question
Agreeing/ disagreeing/ or adding on to an idea
Providing comments or suggestions to a classmates' work
Working together to complete an assignment
When collaborating or communicating with classmates, please remember to:
Use polite and professional tone
Be constructive (focus on how your classmate can improve, not on what they did wrong)
Use academic language (complete sentences, proper capitalization -- don't type in all caps)
Sign in to your Google Classroom for Science at the scheduled start of class each day.

Your microphone should be muted unless you are speaking.
If possible, your camera should remain on so that we can all see each others' faces -- it makes learning more personal!
