New Visions AIM Charter High School I (AIM I) is a small, family-oriented community that provides young people who face great obstacles with the supports, experiences, and opportunities they need to transform their lives, excel academically, and graduate high school. We advocate for and develop our students, offering a high-quality educational experience, supportive environment, and preparation for postsecondary pathways aligned with student interests. Our AIM is to ensure each student charts a path to success.


At AIM I, all students, regardless of personal history, can be empowered and successful. We provide students with a safe space that fosters creativity, diligence, respect, and achievement.


College and Career Prep

We prepare our students for real-world experiences to set them on the path for opportunity and success. Our scholars benefit from:

• Regents Prep

• Internships and summer exploration programs

• One-on-one academic and success coaching to provide students with a fresh start

• Academic field trips, college trips, expeditionary learning experiences


Enrichment clubs

At AIM I, students can participate in a variety of enrichment activities and sports. Clubs include music production, culinary arts, cosmetology, dance, vocal music, theater, film, and much more!

Engagement Pathways:

College Success: 

For students who plan to attend college upon graduation. 

Students can gain the confidence to navigate the world of college through in and out-of-state college tours, scholarship opportunities, financial aid assistance, and tutoring for standardized testing. College-level courses are available through our College Now program at

Medgar Evers College.

Arts & Athletics:

For students who desire to develop their skills in the visual arts and athletics. 

Students can participate in arts programs such as Film, Dance, Virtual Reality Lab, Fashion, Music Production, and Vocal Performance. For athletics, students can participate in Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Cross Country, co-ed Cheerleading/Majorette Dance, and Tennis.

21st Century Workforce:

For students who plan to pursue a career immediately after graduation and want to build necessary skills.

Students can participate in career exploration and job readiness programs that provide workplace skills, professional development, resume help, and internships.

Vocational Pathways:

For students who plan to become certified in the areas of culinary arts and barbering.

Students can participate in hands-on career curricula taught by industry professionals.
