Central High School and New Urban Arts have received a 5 year 21st CCLC grant to support a comprehensive after school program at Central High School. The focus of the grant is to create a greater sense of community and personalization for students through providing after school programs focusing on Academics, Arts, Intramural Sports, Leadership and Social/Emotional Learning.

We believe that by supporting school culture, NUA Knights! will build a community within Central High School that will encourage the:
Reduction of suspensions and failing grades
Increase of student attendance
Increase of the school’s graduation rate
Improvement of school morale
Growth of relationships outside the classroom between students and teachers.
