3031 College Prep A
This course will provide students the opportunity to strengthen existing algebra skills while learning new concepts and skills. New concepts and skills studied are essential tools for advanced courses of study. Topics include the complex number system, functions and their inverses including: polynomial, radical, rational, exponential and logarithmic and trigonometric. Regular and frequent access to a graphing calculator for class activities as well as homework is required.

This is a rigorous course designed for serious students who have demonstrated mastery in previous math courses and possess the quality of an independent learner. The great diversity of topics in this course is designed to promote independent learning and problem solving. Topics include the complex number system, functions (and their inverses) and relations including: polynomial, radical, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric. Unit circle and modelling periodic phenomena will be explored. Regular and frequent access to a graphing calculator for class activities as well as homework is required.
