Class overview

In 8th grade American history, students will investigate the history of our nation from the beginnings of Exploration until the end of the Reconstruction Era.  Students will learn through hands on activities, investigations, simulations, research, videos and so much more.  One of my core beliefs about education is that we must prepare our students for a technology-laden future.  By using technology to our advantage, students will learn important skills they can take with them in life, as well as the knowledge of our country's past.
