Welcome to the Zervas School Literacy Page.

Literacy is a broad topic, it encompasses more than just reading and writing.  It also entails phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, listening, speaking, vocabulary, and grammar.    Literacy involves critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.  Students apply their literacy skills in every subject area during the day. Pam Allyn captures the essence of literacy with her quote, "WORDS change WORLDS".
