Module/Mod
Yearbook modular design is a systematic way to place elements on a spread. It divides a spread into smaller parts called modules or mods.
Infographics
Visual representations of information, data, or knowledge meant to present complex information quickly and clearly. Ex. charts, maps, diagrams, etc.
Spread

Dead-list: A list of Newton South students who have appeared in the yearbook more than 3 times. They are now on the dead list and are not able to be used again.
Folio: The page number in the yearbook, or the bottom corner of the section of the yearbook.
Index: A complete alphabetical listing of all students, teachers, advertisers, topics, and events covered in the yearbook.
Colophon: A colophon is a statement, placed at the end of the yearbook, recording the names of the staff and printer, book specifications, size of the edition, and other information about the production of the yearbook.
Ladder: Chart that contains every page of the yearbook with its contents and deadlines.
Dividers: The page dividing specific content sections.
Press Pass: A pass that you take to sporting events, etc. to show your professionalism when photographing.
Headline: A heading at the top of an article or page in a newspaper or magazine.
Subheading: A heading given to a subsection of a piece of writing.
Caption: Provide a photo with a title or brief explanation.
Ads: Parents are able to pay to receive a section on the spread to shout-outs to their kids.
Superlative: An "award" for winning best or "most likely to" at something (for students and faculty).
Proof: Once the spread is fully completed, click "proof" for the spread to be checked by the EICs and Mr.Baron for any errors or corrections.
Name Stamps: Students are able to have their names stamped onto their yearbooks to add a personal touch.
Supplement: A section of the book that is focused on the Spring.
