Step 1: Complete the NPS Financial Assistance application process, follow the instructions found on this page - https://www.newton.k12.ma.us/page/1072. Approval from NPS is done within 24 hours. This needs to be completed each year.
Step 2: Students/guardians need to complete the registration steps on Total Registration (TR). On TR there are two questions asking if you qualify for financial assistance, if you do you, you should check off yes for whichever question applies to your financial situation.
The two questions asked are:
Do you qualify for a Financial Assistance Fee Waiver of more than 50%?
The cost per exam will be $15.
Do you qualify for a 50% Financial Assistance Fee Waiver?
The cost per exam will be $55.
Once you finish answering the questions, the system will then waitlist the registration until I approve it (this usually happens within 24 hours).
As long as you start the process by November 10th your registration will be considered complete. The student/family contribution can be paid up until March 15th.
