Welcome to 3rd Grade at Memorial Spaulding!
Mrs. DeKing - Room 250
Thank you very much for checking out our site. This will be a place for you to receive updates on what's happening in the classroom, read important information you need to know for our classroom for the year, and discussion items to start the conversation at home.
My goal is for each student to enjoy school, develop love of learning, increase their self-esteem and independence, make decisions and be responsible, and learn the curriculum. We work a great deal on working as a team and building a community, being the best they can be, learning that practice makes better (not perfect), perseverance is a valuable skill, learn the values of Memorial Spaulding, and most importantly...they believe in themselves!
***Below are some quick reminders for you to keep in mind this year....
* The first bell rings at 8:10 and the morning meeting begins at 8:20. You may enter the building wherever is most convenient. When students come into the building, your child should be unpacking their belongings, reading the morning message, and completing morning work in their seat. They have a lot to do so the closer to 8:10 they can be here...the better way to start off their day!
* We have snack every day and lunch late. Please send in a larger nutritious snack. Popular choices are yogurt, fruit, pretzels, popcorn, fruit snacks, and fruit cups.
* Check your child's folder every night...there is homework and often notices from me or the school that are important for you to see.
* DISMISSAL IS OUT THE BACK DOOR AT CLIFTON PATH.
