Pepper is a common ingredient in Asian dishes. The spiciness it produces stimulates customers' taste buds, increasing their appetite; however, not all people like the hot flavor of chilis. Unlike sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami or savory, spicy is not a taste; spiciness, also known as hotness, is a type of pain that you receive in your nervous system; however, it is not comparable to pains like a cut or a cramp. Because of this, your body reacts differently to tastes and spiciness, hence, making it so many people like to eat it!
