All students in 4th and 5th Grade have the privilege to participate in their grade's Chorus Ensemble. This rehearsal occurs once a week for 45-minutes with all the classes in the grade together in the music room. 

Key Concepts in 4th & 5th Grade Chorus: 

• • How to rehearse as a large ensemble (full grade)

  • Singing in unison, 2-parts, and 3-parts

  • Learning the importance of a conductor and a piano accompanist 

  • Standing with good posture, singing with a beautiful tone, using their head voice, using good breath support, singing with phrasing, blending sounds, etc.

  • Learning a variety of choral repertoire and memorizing lyrics 

  • Preparing for performances

**At the beginning of the year, all students are required to read and sign the Chorus Contract. This acknowledges that they are aware of the Chorus Expectations and agree to follow them. 

4th Grade Concert: Thursday, June 15th, 2023 at 8:30am in the cafeteria. 

5th Grade Concert: Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 at 9am and 7pm in the cafeteria.
