What's Happening in ELL?

Happy 2020-2021 School year!

The ELL team at Bowen is excited to begin a new year with our students and the Bowen community. We are looking forward to seeing the familiar faces of all our returning ELL families, as well as welcoming new families to Bowen!

Our goal is to make the ELL classroom a joyful and safe space to learn and grow. As teachers, we love to help each child find ways to nurture that growth, and to learn a variety of techniques to develop their skills.

We will be working with students both in and out of their grade-level classrooms.We aim to provide opportunities for students to use all four language domains--speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Students have been getting to know their new teachers and classmates, as well as learning the classroom routines and expectations. Students are practicing the Four Core Values of Bowen--Be Kind, Be Respectful, Be Safe, Be Engaged.
