Ensemble Grading

Ensemble assignments 

Find assignments in your ensemble's Schoology class. These help you improve your instrumental skills and ensemble repertoire.

Start practicing early, especially if you're new to MakeMusic. This gives you time to practice, improve, and submit your best work.

Late submissions receive reduced grades as outlined below:

• 10% of the earned points are lost for assignments submitted 1-7 days after the due date

• 20% of the earned points are lost for assignments submitted 8-14 days after the due date

• submissions received 15 days or more from the due date will receive a grade of zero

Please get the most out of your ensemble by practicing consistently (5 days x 20 minutes daily minimum) and beginning your assignments early to maximize your musical progress and grade.

Participation

Students must attend all rehearsals with their instrument, music, and demonstrate improvement through practice. Students should listen to instructions and follow cues to play and stop as directed.

Concerts

Concert attendance is mandatory, as absences affect the entire ensemble. Please review the performance calendar and report conflicts within two weeks of each performance. For these extraordinary circumstances, appropriate make-up work will be assigned.
