Videos of Bookend Lessons

Here are examples of different age-groups engaging in bookend lessons. Each video is much shorter than the actual lesson - they have been edited to give you a sense of beginning, middle, and end. Each video will show:

• Introduction by the teacher(s) to viewers of the video

• Beginning: The teachers providing initial instruction with the students about the rubric and goal setting

• Middle: The students engaging in a learner-centered strategy

• End: The teacher and students following up at the end for a final reflection
