A curriculum map is a valuable tool for creating a coherent curriculum that is systematic, intentional, and organized around student learning. Curriculum maps can be used as a guide for:
o Thinking about course sequencing as well as pre-requisites
o Revealing gaps and/or redundancies in the curriculum
o Planning program assessment
o Revising parts of the curriculum while maintaining the curriculum as a coherent whole
