Many of the greatest health concerns are not in the highly visible, identity giving architectural products. Some of the more hazardous chemicals are in the transparent products, -- it’s in the glues, the joint compound, the sealants, the fire retardants that the problem substances can be found. And as we are designers and quite visually oriented, this can be a bit of a disappointment – first it’s hard to see where the problems are, second if you do it right no one can recognize, at least visually the effort taken.
