Senior Director of Center for English Language Studies
I have been at The New School since 1996 when I began as an ESL teacher here. I taught in the ESL program and Certificate in TESOL program and have been the Director of the English Language Studies Department since 2010. The New School is an exciting community to be a part of, and that is why I have stayed here for so many years!
I have an MA in TESOL from the School for International Training (SIT), the RSA/Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and a BA in Anthropology from Wesleyan University. I also have extensive experience studying abroad as an international exchange student myself in Kenya, Ecuador and Argentina. I know how challenging and how wonderful it can be to live and study in a country and culture far from home.
I love our students and feel honored to be a part of their journey at this critical moment in their lives as they explore and develop themselves as academic, intellectual and creative thinkers.
