My name is Meredith Oppenheimer and this will be my 19th year teaching at Lenape Elementary School.  I have previously taught fifth grade and am very excited for my fifth year in fourth grade! 

 I attended college at S.U.N.Y. New Paltz for my undergraduate and graduate work. I have a degree in Childhood Education (1-6) and Special Education (1-6).  I recently completed an additional Masters degree at S.U.N.Y. New Paltz for TESOL K-12 (Teaching English to Students who Speak Other Languages). 

My daughter, Madeline, will be in 6th grade at New Paltz Middle School this school year.  We love living in the New Paltz community.  

I love being a teacher. My hope is that the students in my classroom become 21st century learners with excellent collaboration and critical thinking skills. I look forward to meeting you.
