I grew up in Rockland County in an old Revolutionary War farmhouse. The daughter of two teachers, I realized early on what my calling truly was. After graduating from Clarkstown High School North, I attended SUNY New Paltz. Four years later, I graduated with degrees in both Childhood Education and History. In 2006 I graduated again from SUNY New Paltz, this time with my Masters in Special Education. More recently, I received my second masters in Literacy Education and a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Administration. I am currently enrolled in the University of Florida working on my Ed.D.

For the past fifteen years I have worked in both third and fourth grade. I spent the last few years studying the English language and how to best teach struggling readers how to read. I am very excited to be using these skills to teach a specialized reading program.

In my spare time I enjoy walking, reading, and Pilates. I also greatly enjoy going to the beach and spending time with my family, especially my two daughters. Sophia is 10 (in 5th grade) and Emma is 8 (in 3rd grade). I also have 2 cats (Frick and Frack) - that I love! I am a huge Wizard of Oz fan and I love good stories that make me laugh!!!

I am looking forward to another great year at Lenape School!
