Spelling

Spelling is an important part of our lesson. Not only does it aid in reading but helps build the connection between sounds and letters.

Learning high frequency sight words helps students with their reading and writing, which is why students in the early grades practice these so often.

In Schedule 1 of Multisensory we have discovered letters: i, t, p, n, s, a, l, d, f, h. These letters can be made into a variety of words. Using letters at home or the Magnetic Letter Link have your child spell using these letters after reviewing the alphabet and decks.

Below is a link for Fry's 100 most frequently used sight words. Have your child practice these weekly. Notice how often they appear in our everyday use and reading.
