Let’s change the way we think about worries/problems. Let’s look at this way--Play-Doh problems vs. Rock problems!
Some things in life are within our control and some things are not! The problems that we have control over are called Play-Doh problems. Like Play-Doh these problems can be changed, formed, shaped and shared. The problems that we can’t control or have no control over are called Rock problems. These problems like rocks are unable to be changed or manipulated.
If we come across a rock problem in life it means that we must find ways to accept and cope with these issues.
So the next time you have a worry or problem----think of it this way-------------------
Is this a Rock problem or a Play-Doh problem?
If it’s a Play-Doh problem, ask yourself “what can I change and how will that help?”
If it’s a Rock problem say to yourself, “I can’t change this so how will I help myself cope and feel better?”
