PSAT- Now Fully Digital!
The School Counseling Office is pleased to offer the PSAT/NMSQT exam to students in grades 10 and 11 this fall. The test is approximately 2 ½ hours long and will be administered in the high school library on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Students interested in taking the exam must submit the $18 registration fee by October 10th, 2025. Payment can be made in the form of cash or check made payable to New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School. Fee waivers are available for 11th grade students that qualify for the national free/reduced lunch program.
Why take the PSAT?
For students planning to attend, or who might want to attend college, the PSAT/NMSQT measures college readiness through mathematics and evidence-based reading and writing. It is similarly structured to the SAT, a national college entrance exam still used as an admissions requirement by many colleges. The PSAT can help you identify strengths and areas of improvement prior to taking the SAT exam. Depending on their score, 11th grade students may also be considered for College Board’s National Merit Scholarship, an award of $2500.
Students who have a 504 Plan/IEP may give permission for New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School to request testing accommodations similar to those received in class. If you would like Mrs. Rogers to submit for accommodations, please complete the form included with this letter.
