We have researched third world countries that are suffering from light sources. From that we thought of different ways we could convert mechanical energy to an efficient electrical energy. Finding the most efficient way of light, LED, we have thought of a way to convert the grandfather clocks mechanical energy to power the LED's electrical energy.
We researched how grandfather clocks run and how the mechanics constantly work. We have also researched how to connect a generator to the mechanics of the clock to then make the LEDs illuminate.

At the start of project we have the raw 3D printed clock:

- As the clock is done being put together we connect the dynamo to the clock and then connect the LEDs.
Next we start on the generator:

- Using the moving gears of the clockwork we are able to create a small generator to create energy by passing one neodymium magnet next to the other.
- This is where our mechanical energy is transformed into electrical.

- The magnets will be implemented after we start to crank the dynamo which will turn the gears to establish the electrical energy we are looking for.

- The power is being used by the LED (light emitting diode) lights from the generators to turn on the light and give us the final product.
