On Wednesday afternoons, beginning just after the new year, NewBrook students may participate in various winter activities (see options below).

WINTER ACTIVITY OPTIONS/DETAILS FOR SY 25/26
Gymnastics - Students travel by bus to the Gibson-Aiken Center. Students will be back in time for regular dismissal. Cost: $66. Scholarships are available.
Ice Skating - Students travel by bus to Brattleboro ice rink at Memorial Park. Students will be back in time for regular dismissal. Cost $24 + rentals ($3/day, as needed). Scholarships are available.
Rock Climbing - For grades 3-5 ONLY. At NewBrook Elementary School climbing wall. Students will be at school for regular dismissal. Cost: Free
Arts in Schools - For grades K-2 ONLY. Provided by River Gallery Art School at NewBrook Elementary School. Students will be at school for regular dismissal. Cost: Free
JISP Program* - Downhill skiing/snowboarding at Stratton Mountain. Students will travel to Stratton at 11:30am via parent drivers. All beginners and Kindergarteners will need an adult to help supervise (you do NOT need to ski/board). Non-beginner skiers/riders will be placed in ski/ride groups with adult volunteers. Beginner lessons begin at 1:15 and end at 3:15. Students will NOT be back in time for regular dismissal. Cost: $59.00 + rentals ($7/day, if needed). Scholarships are available. STUDENTS MUST ALSO REGISTER WITH STRATTON BY NOVEMBER 15 TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROGRAM. REGISTER/LEARN MORE HERE
*JISP programming relies heavily on adult on-mountain volunteers! Interested in helping out? Contact Suzanne Paugh (spaugh@windhamcentral.org). Volunteers receive lift access on all JISP Wednesdays as well as 10 FULL Sundays throughout the season.
