Welcome to my website! My name is Zebulon “Zeb” Reid, and I have proudly served as an administrator in the School District of Newberry County since 2014. Throughout my educational career, I have served in a variety of roles, including Instructional Assistant, Physical Education Teacher, Health Teacher, Athletic Director, Coach, and School Administrator at both the middle school and high school levels. I have dedicated nearly 25 years to education and remain passionate about helping students succeed both academically and personally.

From 2014-2021, I served as Assistant Principal at Mid-Carolina High School. In addition, I served as the School District of Newberry County District Athletic Director during the 2021-2022 school year. Prior to joining Newberry Middle School, I served as Assistant Principal, Head Varsity Coach, Athletic Director, and Physical Education Teacher at a K-12 school in Mount Pleasant during the 2004-2005 school year.

I also had the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach, Assistant Women’s Golf Coach, and Assistant Men’s Golf Coach during the 2003-2004 school year at Newberry College. I began my educational career in the Newberry County School District at Newberry High School, where I completed my student teaching experience and was later offered a position as a teacher and coach.

I believe that through hard work, dedication, and the desire to succeed, all things are possible. I am excited to see what our students can accomplish during the 2026-2027 school year. Educational excellence is our aim, and I truly believe that whatever it takes, our kids are worth it!

Note: C.J. was a 4 year varsity boys' basketball player for Mr. Reid at MCHS from 08-11. C.J. was named MVP of the 10-11 varsity boys basketball team. C.J. is the all-time leader/record holder in dunks in 1 season at MCHS.
