About the Librarian

Bio: Mrs. Bouknight has served as the NHS School Librarian for more than ten years.  Before coming to NHS, she worked as a public librarian for Lexington County Public Library.  While Mrs. Bouknight is an avid reader of young adult literature of all genres, she especially enjoys fantasy and science fiction, and has served on the SC Young Adult Book Award Committee for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years.  Mrs. Bouknight is also an alumni of Newberry High School, and serves as the Lead Library Media Specialist for the district.
