Teacher Bio

Kristin A. Caughman is the Mid-Carolina Middle School Band Director and Mid-Carolina High School Assistant Band Director. As a native of Newberry, SC, Miss Caughman attended and graduated from Mid-Carolina High School and continued her education by earning her Bachelor of Music Education from Newberry College and Master Degree of Music Education from the University of South Carolina.

As a highly qualified and certified music educator in the state of South Carolina, Miss Caughman has directed groups ranging from CD – 12th grade and traveled to various festivals and individual and group adjudications throughout North and South Carolina, receiving Superior and Excellent Ratings on various levels. She looks forward to assuming the role of director of the middle school band and raising the standard of excellence.
