In addition to a typical JROTC curriculum, cadets have the opportunity to participate in a number of co-curricular activities:
- Drill Team: An excellent means of learning discipline, teamwork, attention to detail, self-control and a competitive spirit. The team meets two afternoons a week for 60 minutes a period. The team competes against other schools and may put on exhibitions during school events.
- Color Guard: To carry and present the national flag is considered by the cadets as an ultimate honor. Color guards present the colors before various athletic competitions, school activities, and in support of local community and patriotic occasions. The team also competes against other schools in color guard competitions.
- Raider Team: This is oriented to cadets who desire physical demands and adventure. Raider teams are composed of male and female cadets who compete against other schools in physically demanding team events. Typical events in a raider meet may include: three mile run, team physical fitness tests, rope bridge building, first aid test, rifle marksmanship and military stakes/skills test. Only the strongest and most highly motivated cadets can be successful as raider team members.
