This semester-long course is designed to provide serious, driven and hardworking young artists who have completed Art 1, the opportunity to develop their abilities and understanding of the artistic processes. Students will build on previous art experiences to develop their artistic and creative skill, style, expression, art history knowledge, and aesthetic judgment of their own and other’s artwork. Students will develop their own personal portfolio and display work in at least three exhibits this year. Students will work toward advanced range proficiency benchmarks and indicators within the four artistic processes outlined by the South Carolina College- and Career- Ready Standards for Visual Arts.
