My name is Anna Farmer. I was born and raised in Newberry County. I attended the Prosperity area schools. I graduated from Mid-Carolina High School in 1990. In 1994, I graduated from Newberry College with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary. I then received my Masters in Early Childhood from the University of South Carolina in 1999.
My first four years of teaching was at Whitmire Elementary. I was then given the opportunity to come back to my community and teach at Prosperity-Rikard. I have been fortunate to call PRES my home for the past twenty-three years. While growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with young children. I have a strong desire to make a difference in my students' lives.
I am married to a wonderful soldier, named Rusty Farmer, and have two beautiful children, Preston and Al, that keeps me own my toes. Rusty works full time for the National Guard. Preston is 23, married to Brooke, and lives in Union, SC. Al is 19 and is attending USC Union where he is on the baseball team. I enjoy spending time with my family, and watching Al play baseball. I am very thankful to have a loving family and school family.
If you need to get in touch with me, email is best; however, I am also available by school phone. I look forward to a great school year!
