This year is my 26th year as a classroom teacher, with the majority of those years being at PGE. I received a B. S. in Elementary Education from Newberry College and a Master's Degree in Education from Lander University.

I am married to Doyle Waites, who was raised in Pomaria and attended PGE. We have two children, Cassie (21), who is a senior at Clemson University, and Quinn (18), who is a freshman at The University of South Carolina.
