No one knows everything; together we know a lot: learning is a team sport!
Setting: Your 6th-grade students have read an article which presents two viewpoints on Celebrities as Heroes in their English Language Arts classroom. Many of your students find writing challenging. You know that studying models of effective writing can help them see how experts structure and convey their ideas.
Essay Question: Which of the two arguments is less persuasive? In your response, include an analysis of the arguments, claims, reasons, and evidence the author uses in the argument you feel is less persuasive. Explain why you cannot commit to that argument by citing textual evidence from both texts to support your opinion.
Challenge: Use an LLM to create a model response to the essay question written at a sixth-grade level. Be sure to reference the resources available on this website, as well as the Resource Guide on the left. You may also use additional resources as needed. The model should:
1. Align with the sixth-grade expectations outlined in the Massachusetts English Language Arts and Literacy Frameworks.
2. Be written in a way that reflects the style and language of a sixth grader.
