Artists in kindergarten practiced fine motor skills and coordination as we learned the Matisse technique of drawing with scissors; creating organic shapes for our collages.

Henri Matisse is one of the most Matisse is considered one of the founders of Fauvism art. Matisse began to experiment with cutouts. He would cut out colored paper and make collages. He released a book of these cutouts called Jazz that was very popular.

Paper for cutting
Paper for collage
Glue (we used glue sticks)
Scissors
Crayons
To begin, cut paper for collage in as many fun shapes and designs as you.
Paste shapes onto the next paper.
Design shapes using markers or crayons (outline shapes, trace or draw photos)

Para empezar, corte papel para collage en tantas formas y diseños divertidos como desee.
