What did you do in Art?
Artists in 2nd & 3rd grade reviewed the art element of lines and defined blind continuous contour vs. continuous contour drawing. We discussed the difference between our blind observational drawings and our continuous line drawings.
Taking away the ability to look at their drawing opens up an entire world of challenges, openness, and play.

Los artistas de 2do y 3er grado revisaron el elemento artístico de las líneas y definieron el contorno continuo ciego versus el dibujo de contorno continuo. Discutimos la diferencia entre nuestros dibujos de observación ciega y nuestros dibujos de líneas continuas.
Quitar la capacidad de mirar su dibujo abre todo un mundo de desafíos, apertura y juego.

One Line Flowers
One Line Flowers
Materials:
Artist tool - pencil/marker/crayon
Flowers - you may find flowers in your home or neighborhood or use the photos above
2 sheets of paper or sketchbook
Choose your artist tool
Start with a continuous contour drawing - this means you may look at your paper but your artist tool cannot lift off the paper
On a separate paper draw your blind contour flower - this means you can only focus on the object you are drawing and may not look at your paper or lift your artist tool
Compare the two drawings - label the BLIND one
Fill with color - this can be the drawing as well as the background. *
Sign it!
*Artist chose coloring materials.

Materiales:
Herramienta de artista: lápiz / marcador / crayón
Flores: puede encontrar flores en su hogar o vecindario o usar las fotos de arriba
2 hojas de papel o cuaderno de bocetos
Elija su herramienta de artista
Comience con un dibujo de contorno continuo; esto significa que puede mirar su papel, pero su herramienta de artista no puede despegar el papel.

Rellenar con color: puede ser tanto el dibujo como el fondo. *
