Tactical Employee Survival

Tactical Survival at work

Daily life working as an employee is inherently annoying. Despite all the rah-rah "were all one happy family" BS, the reality is there is a direct conflict of interest between you, your employer, and in some cases, other employees. This conflict can be subtle or in-your-face.

Being able to manage the annoyances without letting them reach a boiling point, requires wisdom and patience. The hard fact is that since groceries aren't free, you need to earn some money. And, in order to do that you need to trade some perceived value (yes, I said PERCEIVED VALUE). It is other's perception of the value you bring which will help determine how friendly management will be towards you.
