CONTRACTOR911.com was created by Steve O'Neal for the purpose of enlightening motivated individuals who want to become self-reliant, drivers of their own future. Steve realized about mid-way through adult life that working as an employee just was not for him. His personality was better suited to doing his own thing. Figuring that there must be many other people out there with a similar personality, Steve created Contractor911.com to provide a resource to help those people break out of the employment trap and go start their own business. Steve have been self-employed on/off most of his adult life. Roughly half of his working career has been as some form of business owner or independent contractor. However, employment gigs offered valuable insights too. Knowing both sides of a coin can help you better appreciate the side you want to be on. Additionally, Steve grew up in a household where his father had his own business. Years of spending afternoons and Saturdays in his father's TV repair shop taught Steve a lot about service, customer interactions, and the routine of running a business. As an early adult, Steve helped his father run his business (which by then, was now a Telecommunications company). He worked a the bookkeeper and general laborer. Knowing how to keep books for a small business has been immensely useful. Steve brings 25+ years of experience to help you make the decision (or not) to strike out on your own and be your own boss
