Yes! The Writing Program is a full-time paid position for up to six months.
Apprentice openings are posted throughout the year as they become available. There is no annual fixed submission period.
Apprentice opportunities are open for a limited time, so we encourage you to apply as soon as you see a new opening! The deadline to upload your samples for each opportunity varies and will be communicated directly to applicants.
Our review process can take several weeks to complete. We ask for your patience and will communicate with all applicants on their status by the end of our review.
Due to the high volume of applications we receive for each opening, we are unable to provide feedback at this time.
Samples will be requested via email at a later date.
Applicants who do not have two samples that meet the criteria outlined in each job posting will not be considered. If you do not have samples in your portfolio that match what each role is looking for, don’t panic! We encourage you to keep an eye out for future opportunities.
Apprentice openings are based on the hiring needs of our productions, which can vary over the course of the year. Opportunities are posted as they become available, so we encourage you to check back frequently for new postings.
Writing teams and/or co-written scripts will not be considered. Please only submit your original work.
Yes! Applicants can apply to as many openings as they wish so long as they meet the eligibility and sample submission criteria. If we do not choose to move forward with your application for one opportunity, it does not disqualify you from applying to future openings.
Yes! Representation does not disqualify you from applying and is also not a requirement to apply.

Currently, Netflix Animation continues to work in a remote capacity. A return to in-person work is TBD. Relocation expenses will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Unfortunately, we cannot and do not accept or review any materials (whether manuscripts, treatments, scripts, drawings, ideas, pics of rainbow-colored unicorns, etc.) that we do not specifically request. Please do not upload additional materials with your application. Any unsolicited materials submitted will be automatically deleted. For more information, please refer to our Help Center.
