Project consortium consists of 8 partners: 4 of them represent organizations from higher education system, while the other 4 are secondary vocational schools.
Adopting innovative practices in teaching economic disciplines will empower and connect educators in both secondary schools and higher education, and will have a great impact in the sector of Vocational Education and Training of future economists.
The University of Zagreb (UNIZG) is the oldest Croatian university and also the oldest university in South-East Europe. The university was officially founded in 1669. As a comprehensive public Central European university, UNIZG offers education and research in all scientific fields and a broad spectrum of courses at all study levels, from undergraduate to postgraduate. With 31 faculties and 3 art academies, UNIZG is the flagship educational institution in the country where more than 7,500 employees and 70,000 students develop knowledge and acquire skills. The University excels not only in teaching but also in research, contributing over 50 percent to the annual research output of Croatia.
Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb (FEB) was established in 1920 and is the leading and the largest institution of higher education for entrepreneurial education in the Region. The goal of the Faculty is to train the next generations of the country's business and economic leaders. FEB has become increasingly committed to meet the expectations of its students by developing modern educational programs and by encouraging scientific research. The true value and worth of the Faculty of Economics and Business are its graduates whose number has now exceeded 83,000. FEB is the only university level institution (faculty) in the Republic of Croatia that has been awarded AACSB Business Accreditation, for the period up to 2024 which has positioned FEB among the top 5% of higher education institutions in economics and business globally.

The Osnabrück (OS) University of Applied Sciences (UAS) is the largest and highest performance UAS in the German federal state of Lower Saxony. With around 110 degree programs, the Bachelor's, Master's and advanced training levels are comprehensive. OS UAS has been a pioneer in many areas of academic training and has thus earned the reputation of being an innovative and progressive institution of higher education. So far grown to about 14,000 students serviced by about 1,300 faculty and staff OS UAS is organized in four faculties (Agricultural Architecture; Engineering and Computer; Management, Culture and Technology) as well as the Music Institute.
The Faculty of Management, Culture and Technology (MKT), a part of the OS UAS, is a young faculty and was found in the context of the opening of the new Lingen campus site that went operational in 2012. Its institutes for dual courses, communication management, management and technology, and theatre pedagogy offer undergraduate studies, postgraduate master's courses, dual courses, study courses for professionals, and further training courses. Approximately 2,300 students benefit from the advantages of the Lingen Campus: cross-curricular learning, small groups, short paths and individual support. Established is a close cooperation with regional companies, associations and institutions. This regional liaison is combined with and connected to selected collaborations on national, EU, European and worldwide level. This can be seen as a unique feature which is advantageous for application-oriented teaching and research.
Cracow University of Economics (CUE) was founded in 1925. It is one of the largest economic universities in Central Europe (16 000 students). It consists of three colleges. The University offers bachelor, master and PhD studies. The University is confirmed in award PhD degrees as well as habilitation degree (post-doc scientific degree in Poland), which makes it a first class unit according to Polish higher education law. The University is a member of many prestigious international organizations including the European University Association (EUA), the Network of International Business and Economic Schools (NIBES), Academy of International Business (AIB). College of Economics, Finance and Law is a modern teaching and research centre meeting ongoing changes in the world economy. It has the right to award academic degrees in the following disciplines: economics, finance, law and social sciences. The College is divided into 4 Institutes and employs more than 100 academic staff who specialize in different disciplines, such as macro – and microeconomics, economics, finance, innovation, international business, international economics, international finance, law, human resources, entrepreneurship. The goal of the College is to educate a new generation of business leaders performing responsible functions in international and national companies, European institutions and state and local government administration bodies. The College improves teaching offer on a regular basis to meet current international educational standards and expectations of the labour market.

The University of Belgrade (UNIBG) is the oldest university in Serbia and the largest in this part of Europe. Founded in 1808, it consists of 31 faculties, 11 research institutes, 13 University centres, Computer Centre and the University Library with more than 3.500.000 volumes. It provides education in sciences and mathematics, technology and engineering sciences, medical sciences, social sciences and humanities, with 340 study programs, over 95.000 students and 5.000 academic and research staff, 3,696 papers in 2014 on SCI, SSCI and AHCI lists, numerous publications and scientific and research projects.
The Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade is an educational and scientific institution heading to its 70th anniversary. It was established as the Graduate School for Economy and Trade as far back as 1937. The Faculty of Economics is the biggest and the most prominent scientific and educational institution in the country in the field of economic sciences. The Faculty employs about 130 teachers and associates, of whom 53 are full tenure professors. Every year there are about 20 graduates and about 20 visiting scholars engaged in teaching. Up to now, around 40000 students have graduated from the Faculty; about 2173 have continued their studies successfully advancing to the MSc degree and about 730 acquired the PhD degree.
First School of Economics Zagreb (Prva ekonomska škola - PEŠ) is a state secondary vocational school of economics. The First School of Economics has been educating young generations for 135 years and preparing them for the world of entrepreneurship. The long tradition and quality of implementing the teaching process in education for entrepreneurship make the school a leading school of economics in the Republic of Croatia. The quality of the School’s work is confirmed by the membership in the Academy of Central European Schools. Nowadays 986 pupils attend the School and 85 teachers work there.

Second School of Economics Zagreb (Druga ekonomska škola - DEŠ) is a state secondary vocational school, established in 1991. Nevertheless, it has more than a century-long tradition of educating young people because it has provided education ever since 1883, within the First state trade school. The long tradition and quality of implementing the teaching process in education for entrepreneurship makes it one of the best schools of economics in the Republic of Croatia. It offers a four-year education, covering the economics as the only educational profile. The main School objective is to prepare students for labour market or continuation of their education at higher level. Nowadays, 593 pupils attend the school and 46 teachers work there, along with 15 members of non-teaching staff.

Third School of Economics (Treća ekonomska škola - TEŠ) a state secondary vocational school, one of three best economics schools in Zagreb and in whole Croatia, established in 1962. The curricula of the Third School of Economics covers areas like accounting, tourism, international trade and other subjects relevant for a future economist. Apart from a regular curricula, students have a lot of relevant extracurricular subjects to choose from like “Financial literacy” and “EU: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”. After they finish the four-year program they get the title of economist. The School also has a program aimed to people who want a professional retraining for the title of economist. Around 450 students attend the School which has 40 professors employed who operate in two shifts.

Samobor School of Economics, Trade and Catering (Ekonomska, trgovačka i ugostiteljska škola - ETUŠ) has been an independent institution since 1991. Before that, the economic programme has been realized in the framework of the then active school centre. In the rich history of Samobor’s high schooling, the first programmes for economy related occupations started in 1959. Samobor economics school has been established in the 1962/1963 school year. Today there are 444 students in 18 classes in the School.
Students are educated in two different educational sectors: Economy, trade and business administration, and Tourism and catering. The professions are as follows: economist, hotel and tourist technician, cook, waiter and pastry cook. Students in the School regularly participate in many vocational competitions where they achieve excellent results. Last year they qualified for state competition in three different disciplines, which is an excellent achievement.
