Q: Are tickets just for this timeslot?
A: No, tickets can be used at anytime for the show- but the Scavenger Hunt will take place from 10:00- 12pm on March 21st.
Q: Can I only bring NEST+m students?
A: All are welcome !
Q: Will Ms. Morgera be there all day?
A: Ms. M will be around from around 10:00am- 12:00pm distributing Scavenger Hunt's at the door.Â
Q: Is Ms. Morgera walking around with us?
A: No, this is a self guided scavenger hunt to explore the different art/artists at the show. I would suggest having the students meet up with friends and working together to find each one !
Update: Ms. M is sending out our 700 artowrks to the company on 3/13 !!
Papers for ordering will be sent home on March 26th. Order by 4/16 (TBD).

Andy Warhol - Pop Art
Students have begun learning about American Pop artist, Andy Warhol.
Pointillism Fish
Students have started learning about 16 different types of fish. We have studied their differnces in shape, size, color, patterns, etc.Â
Warm and Cool Gradients
Students have learned about warm and cool shapes and how to create a gradient using paint.Â
Lunar New Year Decor
 Students have finalized our Lunar New year hallway Decor focusing on Japanese Carp Wind Socks.Â
Black History Month Portraits
Students chose their own famous person of black history to focus on and research for their portrait project. Top 20 posted in hall.
Felipe Pantone
Students are learning about contemporary artist from Argentina, Felipe Pantone. Students are creating their own optical illusion artworks.
Overlapping Circles
Students just finished leanring about shapes and finalizied their overlapping unit.
Shapes
Students have started their shapes unit and are working on their fine motor skills.
Warm and Cool Gradients
Students have learned about warm and cool shapes and how to create a gradient using paint.Â

Overlapping Circles
Students are learning about sizing: Small, medium, and Large. We learned how to overlap circles as well.

Students learned about American Artist, Jasper Johns. We are learning about negative and positive spacing.

Students have just completed their Frida artworks.
Typography Project
 Students finsihed and critiqued each others artworks.Â

ThankYouX
Students learned about street artist, ThankYouX. They created their own cube for a collaborative whole grade mural that is currently exhxibited in the hall.
Shape Unit
Students are learning about different type of advanced shapes, such as Pentagons, Hexagons, etc... and reviewing identifing basic shapes.
Piet Mondrian
Students learned all about Piet Mondrian and his love for primary colors. Now students are working on their own work inspired by Mondrian.
Frida Kahlo
Students learned about Surrealist, Frida Kahlo and started identity portraits inspired by her.Â
Typography Project
 Students learned how to make block, bubble, and fancy letters. These are meant to make texts more interesting and appealing.
Frank Stella Protractor Project
Students learned about Minimalist and Maximalist Artist, Frank Stella and his protractor series. We are now working on creating our own work inspired by him.
Sugar Skull Contest
Students in 5th grade competed against eachother to find the most unique sugar skulls of 5th grade. Inspired by the art of the Mexican holiday "Day of the Dead" (dia de los muertos)
Line Unit
Students are working on their foundational skills on elementary school art - How to how a paint brush, how to color between the lines.
Color Unit Review
Students learned about the science of color. They reviewed the Primary colors, Secondary colors, and did a color mixing experiment
Digital Mandalas
Students learned about different cultures mandala designs and created their own digital mandalas on a website called mandalagaba.com.Â
American Gothic Parodies
 Students learned about American Artist, Grant Wood and his most famous works. We then created parodies out of magazine collaging.
Buff Monster Hallway Mural
Students completed their Buff Monster Mural for the hall!
Salvador Dali Surrealism Portraits
Students completed their Surrealism Dual Portraits. One side shows how they feel others see them on the outside, and one side shows how they feel on the inside.
Line Unit
Kindergarteners are learning about all types of lines through multiple activities.
Basquiat Portraits
Students learned about Jean-Michel Basquiat and created Neo-Expressionist Portraits inspired by him.
Symmetry Unit
 Creating symmetrical designs and 2D vs. 3D Shapes
Hispanic Heritage Month
 Students created a hallway mural together, educating lower school students.Â
Street Artist: Buff Monster From Street to Gallery!Â
Students are creating a "Melty Misfit" - one of Buff Monster's signature creations.
Salvador Dali Surrealism Portraits
Students have been learning about Spanish Surrealism artist, Salvador Dali.
